Stutensee (dpa / lsw) - Three days after an alleged strangle attack by her husband, a 78-year-old woman died. She succumbed to her injuries on Thursday afternoon, said the public prosecutor and the police in Karlsruhe. Emergency services were able to resuscitate the 78-year-old on Monday in Stutensee (Karlsruhe district) and take her to a hospital.
The 79-year-old husband is said to have acted delusional because of a mental illness - he is currently being held in a psychiatric facility. The woman reportedly called the police in the early morning of September 5 and said her husband wanted to kill her. When officers arrived, they found the woman in the home with no signs of life.
