Baden-Württemberg: Missing hiker in "Aktenzeichen XY - unsolved"

Todtmoos (dpa / lsw) - The case of the young Black Forest hiker from North Rhine-Westphalia, who has been missing for almost two years, is the subject of this Wednesday (8:15 p.m.) in the ZDF television program "Aktenzeichen XY … unsolved". According to the police, there is still no concrete information about their whereabouts. The police are hoping for new insights from the show. The 26-year-old woman from Bad Lippspringe has been missing in the southern Black Forest since September 10th.

She had left that morning for the last stage of the gorge trail from Todtmoos to Wehr. Footage showed her shopping at a local supermarket. According to the police, she then took the path in the direction of the entrance to the Schluchtensteig. Then their trail was lost.

A large public search and extensive search measures by the police, mountain rescue service and fire brigade with dog units, helicopters and drones were unsuccessful. Interviews with witnesses gave no clues either. Based on the statements and the mobile phone data available, the young woman's journey up to the time of her disappearance can be traced almost seamlessly, according to the police. So far there is no evidence that they have reached their destination - the village of Wehr.
