Heidelberg (dpa / lsw) - Three people were injured in a car accident in Heidelberg. A 71-year-old turned his car from an agricultural path onto a road in a bend in the east of the city on Thursday, the police said. He gave way to a 40-year-old, who then drove her car into the 71-year-old's car. The 71-year-old, his 82-year-old passenger and the 40-year-old were injured in the collision and some had to be freed from the vehicles by the fire department.
According to police, they were taken to nearby hospitals. It was not immediately known how badly they were injured. There was no danger to life. The road had to be completely closed for around an hour and a half.
