Karlsbad (dpa / lsw) - Nine people were slightly injured in an accident with a coach on the Autobahn 8 near Karlsbad (Karlsruhe district). Eight people came to a hospital for treatment, the police said on Monday.
The bus driver realized too late on Sunday that the traffic was slowing down because of the blinding evening sun. He drove into a car that was thrown across the roadway and crashed into the left guardrail. Some of the 22 passengers bumped into each other when they hit the bus. A 27-year-old passenger in the car was also slightly injured and was treated at the scene.
Both vehicles had to be towed. After an hour and a half, the left and middle lanes were free again. The coach still had to be rescued from the hard shoulder. The police estimate the property damage at 18,000 euros.
