Lörrach (dpa/lsw) - Because she had not paid her health insurance contributions for years, the main customs office in Lörrach seized 140,000 euros from a woman's accounts. The woman in her early 60s has not paid since 2018, customs said on Wednesday. The "very uncooperative debtor" never responded to warnings from the health insurance company and letters from customs. During a search of the apartment, previously unknown accounts were discovered at several banks, from which the large sum could be seized.
