Nagold (dpa / lsw) - A 50-year-old died in an accident during an overtaking maneuver in the Calw district. Five people were injured, four of them seriously. According to the police on Sunday, an 18-year-old wanted to overtake three cars in a confusing curve near Nagold and collided with an oncoming car. The driver was trapped in the car and succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
A 31-year-old and an 18-year-old in this car as well as the person who caused the accident and his 20-year-old passenger were seriously injured on Saturday evening. As a result of the collision, the novice driver's car crashed into one of the overtaken vehicles. A 20-year-old woman in the car suffered minor injuries. Two other people in the car were unharmed.
According to a spokesman, the background to the accident and details of the injuries were initially unclear. The police completely blocked Landesstraße 362 for more than five hours.
