Lahr (dpa / lsw) - After a police operation on Tuesday in Lahr (Ortenaukreis), many questions are still unanswered. The police have set up an investigation team, the police and the public prosecutor announced on Thursday. It cannot currently be ruled out that several firearms were used. No details were given on this. Upon request, the police referred to the public prosecutor's office on Thursday evening, which was initially unavailable.
According to the announcement, the police were informed by an emergency call late Tuesday evening about a dispute between two groups of people in the area of a container housing complex. However, the police could not find them on site. However, officers found a car with smashed windows and a 42-year-old man with an injured leg. The man, who, according to the police, was allegedly injured by a weapon, was taken to a clinic accompanied by the police, treated there and released again on Wednesday morning.
The 42-year-old has now been arrested by special forces because of two open demonstration orders and is in a correctional facility. The investigations continued.
