Korntal-Münchingen (dpa/lsw) - Because they are said to have opened packages several times and stolen the contents, three deliverers were arrested in Korntal-Münchingen (Ludwigsburg district) and taken into custody. The suspects are a 27-year-old driver and two 22- and 23-year-old drivers, police and prosecutors said on Tuesday. They stayed in a hotel for long-term occupancy in Korntal-Münchingen. Investigators found electronic devices, clothing and toiletries in their hotel rooms and in the vehicles they used. They assume at least 20 cases, the exact extent of the theft and the amount of damage initially remained unclear.
Since mid-December, several parcels have been stolen from the subcontractor of an online mail order company. Customers had complained about undelivered orders.
