Esslingen (dpa / lsw) - In the middle of the night, a pedestrian was run over on the federal highway 10 near Esslingen when he wanted to cross the road. A driver caught the man early Tuesday morning with her car on the acceleration lane at the Esslingen-Weil junction in the direction of Stuttgart, the police said. The 35-year-old was reportedly taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died there. The 29-year-old woman was unharmed. An expert was included in the investigation, the police said.
