Reutlingen (dpa / lsw) - The Reutlingen police have identified two suspected thugs and arrested their suspected drug suppliers. As the Reutlingen police station and the Tübingen public prosecutor's office said on Monday, an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old man are suspected of having attacked a 20-year-old in Reutlingen in December. The police did not provide any information on the background on Monday.

Accordingly, the two suspects attacked the 20-year-old with pepper spray, hit and kicked him. According to the police, the victim came home himself, but had to be taken to a clinic where serious internal injuries were found. The man had to be hospitalized. The robbery was only reported afterwards via relatives.

As part of the investigation, the police also tracked down an 18-year-old who is said to have supplied the suspects with drugs. During house searches at the end of last week, officials found 3.5 kilograms of hashish, around 350 grams of marijuana and more than 45 grams of cocaine on the alleged drug supplier. According to the police, evidence of the attack in December was found on the other two suspects.

The three men were provisionally arrested at the end of last week. According to the announcement, the alleged drug supplier has been in custody since then, the arrest warrant against the 20-year-old was suspended against conditions, and no arrest warrant was issued for his alleged accomplice. The investigations are ongoing.
