Baden-Württemberg: police confiscated kilos of marijuana

Biberach/Erbach/Ulm (dpa/lsw) - The police found 18 kilograms of marijuana on two men from Ulm and the Biberach district. One of the men was noticed by a police patrol on October 12 during traffic surveillance between Erbach (Alb-Donau-Kreis) and Ulm on the edge of a lake area, as the officials announced on Friday. The man was out with a flashlight and, according to the officers, behaved conspicuously. When they checked the 48-year-old, they secured two garbage bags with harvested marijuana plants.

They found more marijuana plants in a nearby garden shed. The officers also found a 45-year-old hiding in a basement. The investigators also searched the homes of the two men in Ulm and in the Biberach district, where they also discovered marijuana. They also found cash in the lower five-digit range. According to the police, the suspects have confessed and are currently at large. The investigations are ongoing.
