Lörrach (dpa / lsw) - A 19-year-old has to answer to the Lörrach district court for a fatal traffic accident from today (9:00 a.m.). The public prosecutor accuses him of negligent endangering of road traffic and negligent homicide. According to a court spokeswoman, a verdict is expected on Tuesday.
The man is said to have driven the car on the federal highway 34 from Rheinfelden to Grenzach-Wyhlen in September and overtaken another vehicle when a motorcyclist came towards him. The 35-year-old biker tried to avoid the information, came off the road and suffered fatal injuries in the fall. At the time, the police reported that the man had crashed into a signal pole of a railway crossing. A rescue helicopter flew him to the university clinic in Basel (Switzerland), where he succumbed to his injuries.
