Baden-Württemberg: rear-end collision on the A8 with two seriously injured: full closure

Leonberg (dpa / lsw) - According to previous knowledge, two people were seriously injured in a rear-end collision on Autobahn 8. Several vehicles were involved in the accident in the morning near Leonberg (Boeblingen district), the police said on Wednesday. One person was trapped and a helicopter was deployed. After the accident, there were two more rear-end collisions: one accident presumably occurred because of the backlog, another on the opposite lane was probably due to "gaffers", said a police spokeswoman. According to current knowledge, no one was injured in either case. The A8 in the direction of Stuttgart was initially completely blocked between Leonberg-West and the Leonberg triangle.
