Mannheim (dpa / lsw) - Handball professional Mait Patrail will no longer wear the jersey of the Bundesliga club Rhein-Neckar Löwen in the coming season. The 34-year-old Estonian's expiring contract expires on June 30 and will not be extended, the club announced on Wednesday. It is not yet clear where Patrail will move to.
From 2006 to 2011, the backcourt player was voted handball player of the year in his home country six times in a row. During his time with the Löwen, Patrail played 63 Bundesliga games in which the defensive specialist scored 38 goals.
