Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Baden-Württemberg's FDP parliamentary group leader Hans-Ulrich Rülke considers new protective measures unnecessary in view of the current corona situation. “Basically, you can currently do without the mask requirement in local public transport,” said Rülke on Thursday in Stuttgart. At the meeting of the state parliamentary group, the Bonn virologist Hendrik Streeck confirmed the FDP's position that no further measures were currently necessary. Although a "relatively strong autumn wave" is threatening, it is not foreseeable that there will be a more violent variant than Omikron.
Streeck said he would rather be vaccinated against the influenza virus than do a fourth corona vaccination. Rülke warned the green-black government against wanting to reintroduce the mask in gastronomy.
