Baden-Württemberg: S-Bahn trains in and around Stuttgart are running again after a defect

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - As a result of a defective signal at Stuttgart Central Station, travelers in and around the Baden-Württemberg state capital had problems until Friday evening. After almost two and a half hours at around 6:30 p.m., the S-Bahn Stuttgart announced via the short message service Twitter that technicians from DB Netz had repaired the defect and all lines could run regularly again. "However, there are still high follow-up delays and cancellations until the backlog has cleared." Previously, some S-Bahn lines no longer ran into the city center at all, others only every half hour.
