Baden-Württemberg: S-Bahn trains stop again at Stuttgart Central Station

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - After a catenary disruption, S-Bahn traffic at Stuttgart Central Station slowly started again on Saturday evening. "Individual trains can return to Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof," said the railway on Twitter. However, train journeys are only possible to a limited extent.

According to a spokesman, the S-Bahn lines 1, 2 and 3 headed back to the main station. Passengers could, for example, travel to Esslingen or other suburbs to change to regional and long-distance trains. It was initially unclear in the evening when all traffic at the main station would roll back according to the timetable.

Because of the disruption, the main station in the state capital of Baden-Württemberg has been bypassed since Saturday morning. S-Bahn trains commuted to the suburbs, ICE and IC trains stopped in Stuttgart, for example, in Esslingen or began or ended in Heidelberg or Mannheim.
