Baden-Württemberg: scam: wrong number for messenger service

Freudenstadt (dpa / lsw) - tricksters cheated a 60-year-old woman from the Freudenstadt area out of 6,000 euros. They wrote to her via a messenger service and posed as her son who needed money for an alleged new cell phone, a police spokesman said on Sunday. The 60-year-old transferred the money. When transfers were requested again the following day, the woman became skeptical and reported it to the police.
