Kirchhardt (dpa / lsw) - seven people were injured in a traffic accident on the A6 near Kirchhardt (Heilbronn district) - at least two of them seriously. According to initial findings, a 21-year-old driver crashed her car into the crash barrier early on Sunday morning due to snow and then came to a standstill on the hard shoulder, the police said. Her 24-year-old passenger was seriously injured in the accident, the driver escaped with minor injuries.

Shortly thereafter, another car collided with the car on the hard shoulder for reasons that have not yet been clarified. Two other vehicles then had an accident during evasive manoeuvres. Five other occupants were injured - at least one of them seriously.

All of the injured were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance. The highway section was reopened to traffic after almost five hours. According to a police spokesman, the investigation into the exact course of the accident is still ongoing.
