Since the failure of the exploratory talks between the SPD, Greens and FDP, Rülke has taken positions in many areas "that would definitely not have been part of a traffic light government policy," said Baden-Württemberg SPD leader Andreas Stoch of the dpa. From the outside, the impression appears that Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) may have been right in his decision for a new coalition with the CDU and against a traffic light alliance.

"In my opinion, Rülke's behavior makes life too easy for Kretschmann in particular," said Stoch. "That's why it annoys me - because every time Rülke brings an action like the further distribution of this post, Green MPs look at me, shrug their shoulders and say, 'You see!'"

The FDP man had recently been accused of populism and AfD methods. At the end of June, he caused a lot of trouble with a post about climate activist Greta Thunberg and electromobility - the combination of images he forwarded was "fake news".
