Baden-Württemberg: Spring meeting in Iffezheim again after a year's break

Iffezheim (dpa/lsw) - After a year's break due to a change of operator, the spring meeting will take place again next Thursday on the racecourse in Iffezheim. Baden Galopp, the new operator, only got on board during the Big Week last August. Almost half a million euros in prize money will be paid out on the three race days on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. 400 horses have been registered, of which more than 300 will actually start. On Sunday, the start of the best German galloper, Torquator Tasso, is the start of the Grand Prix of the Baden Economy, the race number of the meeting. Last year, the stallion sensationally won the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, the most famous race in the world. Torquator Tasso is now making his comeback after the winter break.
