Stuttgart/Freiburg (dpa/lsw) - The Bundesliga soccer clubs VfB Stuttgart and SC Freiburg have each been fined 15,000 euros for unsportsmanlike behavior by supporters. That was the verdict of the sports court of the German Football Association published on Tuesday.

After the last-minute rescue on the last day of the past season against 1. FC Köln, numerous Stuttgart fans stormed onto the pitch on May 14. Ultimately, according to DFB estimates, there were over 1,000 fans inside.

At Sport-Club, fans lit around 15 Bengal fires on April 19 before the semi-finals of the DFB Cup at Hamburger SV. Both clubs have the opportunity to request a hearing before the DFB sports court within 24 hours.

Only on Monday did the DFB sports court even sentence promoted FC Schalke 04 to a fine of a good 93,000 euros. The Bundesliga returnee appealed.
