Baden-Württemberg: T-shirt weather? It will be unusually warm in the southwest

Offenbach/Stuttgart (dpa/lsw) - For the New Year's Eve fireworks in Baden-Württemberg, the weather experts expect very good conditions and sometimes record-breaking warm T-shirt temperatures. On the last night of the year it will not rain and certainly not snow in Baden-Württemberg, said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) on Wednesday morning. "We will also have little risk of fog, dry air, light winds from the southwest and the skies will often be clear," he said. However, this does not apply to the highs. Strong to stormy gusts are expected, especially in the mountains, and even severe gusts of wind on the Feldberg.

The temperature on New Year's Eve could also be a hit: "In Stuttgart it could well be 18, actually maybe 19 degrees warm next Saturday," said the weather expert. "On the Rhine and at the foot of the Black Forest, 20 degrees are also possible." The weather service for Stuttgart expects about 11 degrees on New Year's Eve.
