Baden-Württemberg: Ten suspected drug dealers in custody

Böblingen (dpa / lsw) - Investigators have broken up a drug dealer ring in the Böblingen area. Police and prosecutors said on Wednesday that ten suspects, including a 33-year-old alleged mastermind, had been taken into custody. A total of 17 people are said to have traded large quantities of cannabis and cocaine.

In October, seven kilograms of cannabis were found in a garage in Weil der Stadt. These are attributed to the group of two 33-year-old main suspects. One of the two is still on the run. A drug courier later found around five kilograms of cannabis in a car.

On November 23rd there was a big raid, especially in the district of Böblingen, as it was called. There were also searches in Stuttgart, in the Ludwigsburg area and in the Calw area, as well as in the Lake Constance district. Among other things, three kilograms of cannabis were seized. A total of 22 objects - mostly apartments - were examined. A total of 285 police officers were deployed.
