Lahr (dpa / lsw) - An injured person, smashed car windows and weapons - that's what the police found during an operation late Tuesday evening at a container housing complex for the homeless in Lahr (Ortenaukreis). What happened there is not known even after days. "A lot is still unclear," said a spokesman for the Offenburg public prosecutor's office on Friday.
According to the police, she was alerted late Tuesday evening by a woman via an emergency call because of an argument between two groups of people. When officers arrived, they only found one man who had been shot in the leg. The 42-year-old was briefly treated in a clinic - and then arrested. He was wanted for other crimes. He probably lived in one of the containers.
Officers also found a car with smashed windows. According to prosecutors, they also discovered several weapons, including a firearm, and two bullet holes in a living container. It was initially unclear whether these came from the evening. The investigations are ongoing. The police set up an investigation team.
