Kernen im Remstal (dpa/lsw) - A basement in a residential building in Kernen im Remstal (Rems-Murr-Kreis) completely filled up on Saturday. The fire brigade had to pump out around 120,000 liters of water, as a fire brigade commander said. The reason for the water masses was a broken pipe in the area of the house connections. The exact cause is still being determined. The water was two meters high in the more than 60 square meter basement. An expert must clarify whether serious damage has occurred to the walls of the house.
