Baden-Württemberg: The location of the children's clinics should be discussed at a specialist summit

The children's hospitals in the southwest are at their limit. There is a lack of doctors and nurses, there are too many duties, too little time - and winter with possible infectious diseases is just around the corner. A specialist summit should do it first.

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The children's clinics lack staff, the facilities complain about the excessive bureaucracy and are afraid of the infections of the winter: In view of the dramatic overload in the children's clinics, Health Minister Manne Lucha wants on Thursday (10 a.m.) with representatives of the hospitals and Care, consulted with trade unions and professional associations on ways and means out of the crisis.

The Ministry of Health announced in advance that it was about "jointly identifying measures to improve the care of small patients". With dramatic words, specialists from children's clinics across the country had previously appealed to the state government for help in view of the overload and staff shortages.
