Böblingen (dpa/lsw) - Due to a defect in the refrigeration system, carbon dioxide escaped in a shopping center in Böblingen on Monday. According to the police, a specialist company stopped the gas leak. At the time the fire alarm system went off, around 900 visitors were in the building, which they had to leave. Nobody was injured. According to the police, there was no danger to the surrounding population. The area was cordoned off for around three hours and traffic was diverted locally.
