Baden-Württemberg: The start of the season in the Feldberg ski area has been postponed again

Todtnau (dpa/lsw) - Skiers still have to be patient in the large winter sports area of Feldberg in the southern Black Forest: the start of the season has been postponed to Friday next week (December 16). The snow cover in the area is about five to ten centimeters too thin, said the managing director of the Feldbergbahnen, Julian Probst, on Wednesday in Todtnau (Lörrach district).

The season was originally supposed to start on December 2nd, but this date was initially postponed to this Friday (December 9th). As of this Saturday, pedestrians can take the Feldbergbahn to the Seebuck peak in the Black Forest and go for a walk in the snow, the Feldbergbahnen announced.

Around 1,800 season tickets have already been sold for this year's ski season. "We are optimistic that our tariff model will work and be accepted because it offers more flexibility than before," said Probst. The Feldbergbahnen have a new tariff system with flexible prices, which are based, among other things, on the occupancy. The minimum price for an adult day ticket is 39 euros. When the skiing weather is good, on weekends and during the holidays, however, it gets more expensive.
