The meteorologists of the German Weather Service expect gusts of up to 85 kilometers per hour at high altitudes and up to 105 kilometers per hour on the Feldberg. In some areas, the wind will be accompanied by rain.
New Year's Eve morning is still stormy, but the wind and rain are expected to gradually subside by Saturday afternoon. In the Upper Black Forest, there could still be stormy gusts during the day. According to a spokesman for the DWD, it will also remain windy in other parts of Baden-Württemberg on New Year's Eve.
In addition to the wind, there are also unusually warm temperatures on New Year's Eve. According to the weather service, people in Baden-Württemberg can expect a mild 14 degrees in Upper Swabia to 22 degrees at the foot of the Black Forest.
