Baden-Württemberg: thermal baths are only slowly recovering from the corona dent

Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) - The energy situation has eased - but the spas in the country are only slowly recovering from the Corona dent. Association Managing Director Arne Mellert estimates that up to a third fewer guests came last year than in the pre-Corona year 2019. Before the pandemic, according to the spa association, an average of 720,000 visitors per month visited the 35 thermal baths in the state - that was more than 8 per year .6 million guests. "Whether we can get close to this number again will be seen in the course of this year," says Mellert.
