Baden-Württemberg: thief steals rings and offers them to a jeweler who has been stolen from

Böblingen (dpa / lsw) - A jewelry thief in Böblingen was anything but clever: the man stole four rings - and offered them for sale to the jeweler who had been stolen from. According to the police, the 45-year-old grabbed two packages with the jewelry on Monday from a delivery vehicle parked in the pedestrian zone when the delivery person was gone. The thief then wanted to sell the rings in the nearby jewelry store - which, however, was the addressee of the packages with the rings. Employees recognized the jewelry, took it and expelled the thief from the store. The police were then able to identify him via video recordings. He must expect to be reported because of the particularly serious case of theft.
