Constance (dpa/lsw) - In a fire in a residential building in Constance on Lake Constance, three people were injured by smoke gases on Thursday. Several residents of the house were in shock and were cared for by emergency chaplains, the police and prosecutors announced on Thursday.
Witnesses had therefore informed the police early in the morning about a fire in a residential building. When firefighters arrived, the second floor was already on fire. All residents could have left the house in time. Since several apartments are now uninhabitable due to the fire, the city of Konstanz has provided emergency accommodation. The cause of the fire was initially unclear. According to initial findings, investigators do not assume intentional arson. The damage caused by the police estimates at around 100,000 euros.
