Baden-Württemberg: train drives against a fallen tree: no injuries

Friedrichshafen (dpa / lsw) - A regional train collided with a fallen tree on the track in Friedrichshafen. The route to Basel had to be closed on Thursday, according to Deutsche Bahn. According to the federal police, nobody was injured in the collision. The train was able to reverse to a platform. According to Bahn, a rail replacement service was set up between Friedrichshafen and Markdorf (Lake Constance district) for around 80 passengers. The closure was expected to last until early evening. Third-party negligence is excluded. The tree had probably landed on the rails due to the weather.
