Baden-Württemberg: Tübingen's Mayor Palmer has Corona and interrupts the election campaign

Tübingen (dpa / lsw) - Tübingen's mayor Boris Palmer was infected with the corona virus for the first time a few days before the mayoral election. A PCR test was positive, Palmer wrote on his Facebook page on Friday. That was the end of the election campaign for him. The new mayor will be elected in the university town on October 23. "On Wednesday I was still on the Tagblatt podium with a mask. Since then, all rapid tests have been negative. But today's PCR is positive. That was it for me. After two and a half years, it got me too," wrote Palmer. He did not comment on his exact state of health.
