Baden-Württemberg: Two dead in Offenburg: Suspects are silent

Offenburg (dpa / lsw) - Several days after two dead women were found in a homeless shelter in Offenburg, a suspected woman remained silent about the allegations. This was announced by the public prosecutor's office and the police on Wednesday in Offenburg (Ortenaukreis). Autopsies in the past few days have therefore confirmed that the victims were killed by "external violence".

The 44-year-old suspect is said to have killed her 19-year-old daughter and her own 49-year-old sister last Saturday. According to earlier information, the woman then alerted the police herself.

The suspect is in custody on suspicion of manslaughter. So far, the investigators have not given any background information - for example, the motive for the crime and how it happened. The investigation is still ongoing, it said.
