Ulm (dpa/lsw) - The basketball players from ratiopharm Ulm lost their home game in the Eurocup against Joventut Badalona on Wednesday with 54:68 (35:30). It was the third defeat in the fifth game of the group stage. The German representative slipped further down the Group A table. The Swabians' best thrower was Karim Jallow with 14 points.
Neither team could pull away in the first quarter. The second period was also closely fought. Jallow in particular was accurate and sank seven out of seven two-point throws. From the three-point line, his hit rate was just as bad as from the whole team. But since the Spaniards also missed many baskets, the home side were just ahead at half-time.
That changed abruptly after the restart. In the third quarter, Ulm only got six points, in the final section they had to accept a 0:14 negative run. The Spaniards pulled away uncatchable.
