Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Mateo Klimowicz from the Bundesliga soccer club VfB Stuttgart is said to have aroused the interest of the US club Charlotte FC, according to a media report. The offensive player, who has not played a competitive game for the Swabians since February, is said to be on the so-called "Discovery List" according to information from the "Transfermarkt" portal. This means that if other clubs from the North American Major League Soccer were interested, the club would have an exclusive right of way on the player.
A spokesman for the CFC did not want to confirm the interest on Wednesday when asked by dpa. "It is our policy not to comment on transfer rumors and speculation," he said. Klimowicz' contract in Stuttgart runs until 2024.
