Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Winfried "Winne" Hermann, still 69 and Minister of Transport in Baden-Württemberg, later regrets having become a father late. "After the good experiences I've had with my wife and daughter, I would say it would have been good to have had more children earlier, but I'm glad I became a father at all," said the Greens politician the "Stuttgarter Nachrichten" (Thursday). Hermann, who will be 70 on July 19, only became a father 20 years ago.
In his own words, the prospective celebrant attaches great importance to his young appearance. "But I don't think about what I could do about it every morning." He's also not working hard to look younger than he is, he's just trying to be healthy. But since he became minister, he has been working 70 to 80 hours a week, which ruins many of his sporting intentions. He inevitably gets busy with the time after politics "because my friends with whom I hike are retired," said the Green Left, who has been Minister of Transport in the southwest for eleven years.
