The suspect is said to have spilled petrol at the gate on Wednesday and set it on fire. Two judicial employees were injured by heavy smoke and another employee suffered a shock. At least one injured person was taken to a hospital. The fire brigade was able to quickly extinguish the fire and thus prevent major damage. But there was soot and smoke damage. Hours after the crime, the woman turned herself in with a lawyer at a Freiburg police station.

The 41-year-old's motive remained unclear. The prosecutor's spokesman said the woman was involved in a family court case that is currently pending in the district court. He could not give any further details.
