Bavaria: 13-year-old seriously injured by falling branch

Breitenberg (dpa / lby) - A branch up to 10 meters long seriously injured a 13-year-old in a tent camp in Lower Bavaria. A rescue helicopter brought the boy to the hospital with serious head injuries, the police said on Tuesday. The youth camp of the scouts had organized a field game in a forest near Breitenberg (Passau district) on Monday evening. The branch fell on the 13-year-old, who was rescued by the mountain rescue service. The police are currently ruling out third-party negligence.
