Bavaria: 28 km truck traffic jam due to block handling in Austria

Rosenheim (dpa / lby) - Because of an upper limit for trucks on the Inntalautobahn, trucks were jammed on the Autobahn 93 to Rosenheim on Wednesday. The backlog from the Austrian border was up to 28 kilometers long as a result of the block handling, the police said. The traffic jam slowly cleared later in the morning, but there were still obstructions on the A93 and A8. At times, the Austrian authorities only allowed up to 100 trucks per hour to continue on the Inntalautobahn. On Thursday (November 17th), block processing of the trucks on the Inntalautobahn is planned again.
