Schweinfurt (dpa / lby) - A 33-year-old driver under the influence of drugs gave himself a chase with the police in Schweinfurt. The man was noticed by the police on Saturday morning because of excessive speed, as they announced. When the officers tried to stop him, he fled in the direction of the city center.
The speeder was initially stopped in the parking lot of a company. However, he accelerated again and reportedly broke through a barrier. After further pursuit, the battered vehicle finally came to a stop. According to the police, the driver resisted the subsequent check. The check revealed that the man was under the influence of drugs and also did not have a driver's license. In addition, there were several arrest warrants against the accused, which he now has to serve in a correctional facility. The man is now being investigated for several crimes.
