Hummeltal (dpa / lby) - Around 500 liters of diesel spilled on Autobahn 9 in the Bayreuth district after a woman drove her car into the diesel tank of a truck. This resulted in damage of around 200,000 euros. According to the police, the 43-year-old came off the road near Hummeltal on Saturday evening for initially unclear reasons and collided with the concrete barrier. Her car then collided with the truck.
The woman was injured in a hospital, it was said. The truck driver was not injured. Whether the leaked diesel caused environmental damage is still being clarified. The A9 was completely closed for almost three hours.
