Munich/Brunnthal (dpa/lby) - An 84-year-old driver was trapped in his car and injured in a rear-end collision on Autobahn 8 at the Munich-South junction. The police said he was unresponsive and taken to a clinic. A 65-year-old driver drove "almost unbraked" into the 84-year-old's car in front of him on Thursday evening. He "probably completely" overlooked the car, the police said.
The 65-year-old was slightly injured. The highway was completely closed for half an hour due to the use of a rescue helicopter. The police are now looking for witnesses.
