Bavaria: Activists after traffic blockades in Munich in court

In some cases, climate activists of the "last generation" were in police custody in the Stadelheim correctional facility for several weeks. Three of them will appear in court in Munich on Wednesday.

Munich (dpa / lby) - Three climate activists of the "last generation" have to answer to the Munich district court on Wednesday (1.30 p.m.). The urgent procedure should deal with traffic blockades in downtown Munich at the beginning of November. During the protest, several activists glued themselves to the street twice in a row at Munich's Stachus.

According to the "Last Generation", the three activists who are on trial on Wednesday have been in police custody at Stadelheim Prison since the beginning of November. They were released last Saturday.

The group often makes headlines with its blockades or attacks on works of art. The activists want to draw attention to the destruction of the environment and climate change.
