Deggendorf (dpa / lby) - After a knife attack at the Deggendorf train station, the police arrested a suspect. The 18-year-old is now in custody on suspicion of attempted homicide, the investigators said on Tuesday. A witness reported and gave a crucial clue. The 19-year-old attacked is now out of danger, it said. The motive for the crime and the exact course of events are still unclear.
According to the findings of the police and public prosecutor's office so far, the 18-year-old suspect attacked a group of young people at Deggendorf train station in the area of an underpass on Monday morning, seriously injuring the 19-year-old. Subsequently, numerous police officers, including with a helicopter, searched for the perpetrator.
