Bavaria: After a violent death, investigators find the victim's objects

Aschau/Prien (dpa/lby) - After the violent death of a 23-year-old in the Rosenheim district, investigators found the victim's personal belongings. During searches on and in the Prien river, the young woman's jacket and handbag were found, the police said on Monday. Both objects were clearly assigned. "The search for other personal items and traces will continue," emphasized the police. Divers from the Bavarian riot police would continue to search the waters.

The body of the 23-year-old from Aschau im Chiemgau was found in the Prien at the beginning of last week. The victim had previously celebrated at a club in her hometown. Hours later, a passer-by discovered the dead body - about ten kilometers from the club in a district of Prien am Chiemsee.

In the meantime, experts from the so-called operational case analysis, better known as profilers, have examined places in Aschau in order to be able to reconstruct what happened. The special commission of the Rosenheim criminal police is also particularly busy questioning witnesses and viewing photos and videos.

In particular, the police asked visitors who were in the music club in Aschau on the night of October 2nd to 3rd to take cell phone recordings. An Internet portal was set up for this purpose, via which the image files can be sent to Soko. Around 90 people have now provided camera footage from the club and images from other sources.
