Munich (dpa/lby) - After two years of the compulsory Corona break, Ilse Aigner (CSU), President of the State Parliament, welcomed many celebrities from politics and society to the summer reception of the state parliament at Schleißheim Castle on Tuesday evening. More than 3000 guests were invited, including Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) at the top, MPs, cabinet members, representatives of the judiciary, the churches and religious communities as well as from the fields of culture and sport. Volunteers from all over Bavaria were also there. A separate reception for helpers in the corona pandemic is also planned for Thursday.
In the past two years, the traditional reception had been canceled due to the Corona crisis. The state parliament had now decided to revive the reception - even if the war in Ukraine and its consequences overshadowed many things this year.
