Geretsried (dpa / lby) - An aircraft bomb from the Second World War was found on Saturday during construction work in a residential area in Geretsried (Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district). A spokesman for the city of Geretsried said that residents in the security area of 300 meters were asked to leave their homes. According to him, around 2,700 people live in the affected area.
Roadblocks in the immediate vicinity have also been set up. It was initially unclear when the defusing of the bomb should begin. Contact points have been set up for local residents in the town hall and in a school.
